Strength and Conditioning

Interested in working out at the gym? I can instruct you on the right exercises for your goals, and the right number of sets and repetitions for these exercises. I can teach you proper form, so that you can lift weights safely and effectively. I can switch up your exercise routine when needed to optimize your muscle gains, and  I can advise you on what to eat to support your workouts.

Weight Management

Whether you need to lose body fat, gain muscle, or maintain the muscle you have, you need to have a good plan and stick to it. Together we set up a goal weight, body fat percentage, and even a fitness benchmark. Goals are important to hit, and I make sure to keep you on target. Modalities include free weights, calisthenics, machines, and other equipment. Your heart rate and calories are tracked with FitBit technology during the workouts. I also help coach you through smart nutrition and lifestyle choices. Awards and incentives are given for hitting target goals.

Nutrition

Proper diet is very important to physical and mental fitness. I am a certified Weight Management Specialist. I help coach you through making the right nutritional choices. I teach you about the different types of nutrients and the amounts you need for each meal. I can show you how many calories you need to lose, gain, or maintain a weight goal. Together we look at what you are currently eating and make changes if necessary.

Sport-Specific Training & MMA

Being a former Division 1 wrestler and working as a student athlete trainer, I understand what it takes to be in top physical condition. I take your training to the next power so you can have a new competitive edge. I focus on building strength, stamina, power, and mental focus.  Fitness Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a great way to get in shape. I offer cardio kickboxing, grappling and wrestling lessons. I work out of studios in Manhattan and the Hudson Valley and equipment is supplied.

A&B, or attitude and behaviors, affect every decision we make in life. There’s always an underlying issue why we are, or are not, successful in doing things.  Using the SMART model and other behavioral therapies, I will help you focus on constantly being in the right mindset and staying motivated to hit your goal.
